Don't panic, the first step in self-study is to "line out" the screen
'Screen out' often means that the internal screen is damaged, so it's better to do it yourself instead of wasting money. Taking S15Pro as an example, the entire screen replacement process is broken down into 7 key nodes, each step accompanied by real-life photos, and following along can save a lot of maintenance costs.
02
Removing the back cover: The glass material needs to be 'translated'
2.1 ◇ First, cut open the double-sided tape, and then lift the cover in parallel
Lightly scratch along the border with a thin card, loosen the double-sided tape completely, and then move it as a whole. Avoid breaking it hard at 90 °, otherwise the back cover will instantly break into a "puzzle".
2.2 ◇ Remove the protective cover and battery
After removing the back cover, unscrew all the fixing screws around the body without missing a single screw; After removing the protective cover, disconnect the battery and power off the motherboard to avoid short circuits during installation.
03
Take the small board: first disconnect the cable and then take the screw
3.1 ◇ Loosen the display cable and charging port
Gently loosen the speaker and display cable interface, and there is also a straight screw on the top of the small board. After removing it, all cables can be pulled out.
3.2 ◇ Remove the card tray and protect the red dust-proof adhesive
Use tweezers to grip the card holder and gently shake it out; Use a leaf shaped pick to lift the small red leather circle next to it to prevent it from hooking onto the wiring when disassembling the screen.
04
Dismantling old screen: Blade+8+1 combination method
4.1 ◇ Cut open the sealant and apply 8+1 drops of solubilizing aid
Stick the blade tightly around the screen, cut off the sealant first, and then drip a small amount of 8+1 solvent to soften the glue for easy separation.
4.2 ◇ Card stitching, slow work produces fine work
The nail is stuck in the gap, and the card is slowly pushed along the edge. After all the double-sided tape is scraped loose, the entire screen can be removed.
05
Clean up residual adhesive and apply UV glue, and apply sealant to the middle frame
5.1 ◇ Special UV double-sided adhesive for cranks is put into use
Clean up all the old adhesive on the middle frame, apply UV double-sided adhesive specifically for the crankshaft, and apply a circle of sealant around the edges. The amount should be small rather than large - if the adhesive seeps out, it will create bubbles on the new screen.
5.2 ◇ Installing a new screen: align first and then press down
After inserting the cable and aligning the top, gently press down to ensure that the double-sided tape is fully adhered to the middle frame; Push on the battery and perform a power on self-test. If the touch and display are normal, proceed to the next step.
06
Reinstall the small board: plug the charging port first
Before putting the small board back in, first insert the charging port into the hole and fix it, then fasten all the cables in sequence, and finally reinstall the battery - the appearance of the startup logo indicates that the hardware is ready.
07
Upper protective cover, rear cover, and sealant
7.1 ◇ Tighten all screws in place
The speaker, charging port, and small board screws have all been reset; Clean up the residual adhesive on the protective cover and back cover, and then apply special sealant.
7.2 ◇ Cover and flatten, installation completed
Align the back cover with the buckle and lightly press it to fit. If the fingerprint and power button rebound normally, it means the whole machine has been restored. Power on test of various functions, no "wires" on the screen, sensitive touch, normal sound - great success!
